Narrative film production: Editing Sequence

After having enough material to edit i began editing by using the razor tool, using titles and creating moving images. I did find some complications whilst editing however i found a way around them and have improved the material i have.

Narrative film production: Filming Sequences

January 18th me and my crew continued filming my short film, however it was icy so we waited a few hours to see if the ice would melt. We tried being as productive as possible however the cold conditions slowed down our productivity and we finished filming after 2 hours. The video shown below is an example of footage that we can't us because it is out of focus.

Narrative film production: Filming Sequences

January 15th i began filming my short film(Abuse). I tried to capture as much material as i could so i didn't have to re-capture scenes at a later date. I took multiple takes of certain scenes to ensure i have a broad collection of footage to choose from and i also tried different camera angles to keep the audience interested. Here are some of the clips i captured from January 15th:

Pre-Production Log: Meetings

This was the final meeting that took place before filming and we discussed when we should begin filming, clothing that might be required and peoples roles and responsibilities. We had this meeting so everybody was fully aware of what was happening when we begin filming in 2 days and there is no confusion.

Pre-Production Log: Meetings

Here is the second meeting that took place which was 2 days after the previous meeting. In this meeting we discussed progress on the production schedule and issues that could occur for example we agreed that food would be provided so there was no reason to bring any food. This meeting allowed everyone to be caught up on information they never knew.

Digital Magazine Log: Daily Aims Learning Aim C

This is my interactive magazine and i enjoyed creating intractable aspects for my target audience however, the reason i never included hyperlinks is because i thought that would be too much for my magazine because i want my audience to be able to read my magazine like they are meant to but online and not have to worry about having to click on hyperlinks to receive more information that they may not find interesting. Also clicking on a hyperlink would make you leave the magazine to what ever page was hyperlinked and i don't want something like that on my magazine, id rather have my magazine as much like a print magazine but online.

Pre-Production log: Contributor Release Form

These are the contributor release forms which are used to grant permission for the exhibition of my final product and this allows the producer to obtain the rights to use the actors material for this production. The reason the cast are required to fill out these documents is to prevent the director from being sued because if the cast don't sign these documents then the actors can sue the director for using material that actors didn't consent to.

Pre-production log: Scouting Location

I visited several locations to determined which location would be best to shoot my short film at.From this visit i gained an understanding of where i want my short film to be based and it helped me visualize scenes within the house. This has lead me to the conclusion that i want my short film to be based within the house. Within the house there are rooms which i find suitable for my short films based upon the shape of them. However i will need to move furniture and add props to the rooms i want to use to make them more suitable for the scenes. Here are some images of the interior of the house and the exterior of the street i will be filming at.I believe this street is appropriate to use for filming because it has a cut which i can use within my short film to make it more interesting and that is why i chose this location. Also the road and street is often empty which means it is a great place to film as members of the public won't be in my film.
